A special thanks to Christopher Nave, RPAC Major Investor Fundraising Representative, Leslie Rouda-Smith, Political Fundraising Liaison & Eric Sain, Public Policy Chairman & RPAC Trustee, for putting together a wonderful Major Investor Reception at McCormick & Schmicks.  Along with our hosts, we had special guests, Patti Fitzgerald, Florida Realtors® President and Summer Greene, President-Elect Florida Realtors®.  Together they stressed the importance of continuing to support RPAC and thanked everyone for their generous contributions.

Celebrity Bartending – Taverna Opa, June 30, 2011

Thank you to everyone who braved the rainy weather and joined us at Taverna Opa in City Place for another successful Celebrity Bartending Event.  Our (3) Celebrity Bartenders, Paul Snitkin of Anderson & Carr, Inc, Rose Faroni of ReMax Prestige & Mary Ann Rozo of Coldwell Banker did a fantastic job of rallying their offices and it showed as we had a packed turnout.  In the end, Paul Snitkin was declared the winner!

13th Annual RPAC Auction – Cinco de Mayo

On May 5, 2011, the Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches (RAPB) held its highly anticipated annual RPAC Auction. This year’s theme was Cinco de Mayo! It was the 13th auction that RAPB has hosted and it may well have been one of its most successful to date.  All the money raised on this evening went towards the advocacy work that the Government Affairs Committee and staff members perform on a day-to-day basis.

Benvenuto in Boynton Beach, Fla., was the site of the event, and we counted over 165 guests who came to bid on both silent and live auction items. The items varied from golf outings, spa packages and bed & breakfast stays to a big screen TV, luncheons at the storied Mar A Largo and an iPad 2.

Along with the usual bidding on silent and live auctions, the RPAC Fundraising Committee decided to add a new element to this year’s auction – a locked Treasure Chest that contained $1,500 cash prize. Everyone in attendance had the chance to purchase keys and try their luck unlocking the cash prize at the end of the night. Board of Director Tim Harris turned his key and was the lucky winner.

The event itself could not have been as successful if it was not for all the people who donated both items and their time to the cause. RAPB RPAC Chair Judy Ramella and the 2010-11 RPAC Fundraising Committee made it their purpose to emphasize RPAC awareness to all members and the importance of contributing, and it showed on this night.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in making the 2011 RPAC Auction a success!
